The Linebacker capacitor line is manufactured by an ISO certified facility with over twenty years of OEM capacitor fabrication experience. These capacitors come off the same production line as OEM parts and are 100% in-line production tested to the same rigorous international standards. This means performance that matches what the equipment was designed around, at pricing that is competitive with, and often below, other brands in the market. Construction reflects that same standard. Linebacker capacitors use thick polypropylene foil to manage elevated operating temperatures and PCB-free oil to prevent overheating, with a foil thickness of 6.0 µm at +/-5% tolerance. Operating range spans -40°C to 85°C, and voltage is rated up to 440 VAC.

A capacitor that performs well out of the box is only part of the story. Linebacker capacitors are put through a testing regimen built around real-world HVAC demands. Units meet the EIA-456A accelerated life test at 70°C for 60,000 hours and are life tested to 85°C for 10,000 operating cycles. They also carry 10,000 AFC pressure-sensitive short circuit interrupting capability and are continuously tested for oil leaks and dielectric insulation effectiveness. UL approved for use in both the United States, the Linebacker line is built to a standard that distributors can put in front of their customers with confidence.

One of the more practical advantages of the Linebacker line is what it does to inventory. A common assumption in the field is that a 370V capacitor can only be replaced with a 370V capacitor. That is not accurate. The voltage rating on a run capacitor indicates the maximum voltage not to be exceeded which means a 440V Linebacker capacitor covers both 370V and 440V applications. For distributors, that consolidation adds up quickly. Fewer part numbers, less shelf space dedicated to overlap, and a single stocking decision that covers a wider range of service calls. Linebacker capacitors are available in both round and dual round configurations across a broad range of MFD ratings, so the simplified inventory does not come at the cost of coverage.
